ABOUT ME
My father died when I was four and I grew up with a deep inferiority complex about myself, especially as a man. At twelve, my mum gave me his old weights and for the first time in my life I stood on equal footing with everyone else. I saw that if I put in more effort than anyone around me, I could excel, despite my self imposed limitations.
Before coaching, I spent 15 years in high-stress security work, the last five in South Australia's only maximum security prison. Success in this industry often came at the cost of my health and as my values shifted I found myself increasingly at odds with an industry antithetical to the strength and health I was now trying to build in my life.
In mid 2024, I made the leap, walking away with no clients, no business experience and no guarantee it would work. I doubted myself the whole way but committed to building a life in health from scratch, one client at a time.
Since then I've coached hundreds of clients, including athletes, martial artists and everyday people wanting to get stronger and move better. The principles stay the same but how each person applies them varies enormously and results rely on the mind as much as the body.
Today I specialise in strength and conditioning for BJJ athletes, building strength that improves performance on the mats without breaking the body down over time, backed by 20+ years across strength, mobility and combat sports and my own undefeated state-level BJJ record.
SERVICES
You are not getting a standard PT session when you train with me. Once we've identified exactly what it is that you're looking to achieve, I will design a custom plan to achieve that and pursue it relentlessly with you.
Some people need consistency, others intensity, others structure and some are working hard but pointed in completely the wrong direction. Let's find out which one it is for you.
